Horror Theater Video hospital massacre xray film review

Ah. Barbie Benton. On of the sex goddesses of the 80's. Starting with "Hee-Haw" (if you don't know what that show is, you're lucky), moving on to Playboy centerfold, and of course trying her hand at acting.

"Hospital Massacre" is actually part of the holiday slasher films that popped up in the early 80's, like APRIL FOOL'S DAY, DON'T OPEN TILL CHRISTMAS, NEW YEAR'S EVIL, and of course MY BLOODY VALENTINE. This is a rip-off of My Bloody Valentine as it takes place on Valentine's Day.

When she was a young girl, Susan (Benton) and a male friend are playing with a train set while unknown to them they are being spied on my a Looney kid with a fixation of Susan. He leaves her a Valentine at her front door, rings the door bell and hides. When Susan retrieves it, and reads it with her friend they both have a laugh as she crumbles it up, while crazy boy watches on. Susan then goes into the kitchen to get some cake and when she returns, her friend is impaled on an umbrella stand. She turns and sees crazy boy in the window laughing.

It is now some years later and Susan arrives at the hospital (on Valentine's Day) to get some test results. We see that crazy boy has grown to be crazy doctor (though it is not revealed if he was a real doctor). But the biggest question not answered is how would he know when she would be at the hospital, so at least we can call him crazy hospital employee.

The usual gory antic are carried on as crazy hospital employee stabs, saws, slices and decapitates in an attempt to get to Susan's heart, literally.

As these holiday slashers go, Hospital Massacre is no better or worse than the rest. Benton is not given any dramatic scenes except to look worries and scream on cue. But of course you will see her naked as she gets her exam.

Hospital Massacre is a good time killer, if not for those already afraid of hospitals, or films showing hospitals with hardly any nurses or patients in them.
