HONEYMOON HORROR (1982)

This little known slasher gem slipped under the radar of the slasher movie madness in the early 80's.
A young couple, who live on a semi-secluded island, are relaxing one evening when the husband is called off to work. His wife insists she hates being alone on the island, but the husband's best friend, Jeff, is living in one of the guest houses on the island and he tells her that if she gets scared to see Jeff.
As the husband is loading
his boat to leave, he forgets something in the house. but returns to find
the house empty, and thru the window of the guest house he sees his wife and
Jeff in a passionate kiss. He rushes in and a struggle ensues with the wife
smashing a glass vase over her husband's head. As he falls he knocks over a
kerosene lamp and the place is gutted in flames and the husband is presumed
dead even though a body is never found.
Some time later the wife, now with Jeff, returns to the island for a relaxing weekend with some of her friends, but relaxing is the last thing they will do. A badly burned figure begins killing off the cast with some very gruesome and graphic ways.
Filmed on a budget of only $50,000, Honeymoon Horror doesn't contain acting that will win awards, but the movie moves at a brisk pace and the effects are pretty good. The killer is shown a bit early but the good make-up job let's the director get away with this.
Is this killer the husband? You have to see the movie to find out.
