Director Ittenbach's resume is filled with the goriest, sickest, most bloodiest imagery every to be put on celluoid. Just view "Legion Of the Dead", "Garden Of Love", "Premutos", or "Riverplay" just to give some examples.
Here a drug riddled brother is asked by his little sister to tell her a bedtime story (smart of the parents to leave him in charge?). We are then given a preview of just what may be on an addicts mind. First a story of a psych patient who escapes an asylum (but first butchers a doctor, nurse and an orderly), steals a car from a woman who leaves her wallet inside. He then visits the home and just rips this family apart for no apparent reason but to show the viewers that German underground filmmakers are the best at giving the viewer the most savage images in cinema today.
The second story is about a priest, who is also a murderer and a rapist, but he is given his penance and we are then witness to the most horrifying zombie footage to date. No doubt about it. This film is not for everyone. It lives up to it's reputation as Ittenbach's crowning achievement. He has come close, but has never topped "The Burning Moon".
Then when you think you've seen enough, at the end the brother stabs the sister with a large knife as he leaves her room.
Is there some sort of statement underneath this gorefest? Maybe society is nothing more than cattle to these people and we better just get used to it? Who knows, but to view this film you must have the will and the stomach for it.
HORROR THEATER VIDEO has the uncut version of this film both in a subtitled version and a beautiful digital German Language version.
